ARTIST SPOTLIGHT
WHO IS JENNY PENNYWOOD?
Jen Garrido is a fine artist, textile designer & founder of Jenny Pennywood, but for a long time, no one knew Jen Garrido was actually Jenny Pennywood.
Working Definition
patterned basics
patterned basics (noun)
- Everyday essentials, such as tee shirts, underwear, and socks, reimagined through color and pattern; functional pieces designed to be worn regularly while carrying visual presence and personality.
- In the context of Jenny Pennywood: garments rooted in original artwork, translated into textiles and produced in small, intentional runs; objects that balance utility and expression, meant to be lived in rather than kept precious.

LET'S WORK TOGETHER
As our Patterned Basics apparel collection grows, we’re looking for creatives to collaborate with. We want to celebrate all genders, all body types, and how you make Jenny Pennywood your own.
Everyday, not throwaway
Our philosophy is fewer, longer lasting, timeless, and quality things, which is exactly what we make.
Color: More is merrier
Colorways and patterns are meant to mix and mingle in a way that compliments without clashing
SIGNATURE TEXTILES + FABRICS
Woven from natural fibers, our textiles are made to last, and like vintage denim, they just get better with age.
HAND-PAINTED PATTERN DESIGN
Each pattern is hand-drawn or painted by Jen Garrido in the studio and printed on natural, thoughtfully sourced textiles.
