Zero to minimal production waste is always the goal at Jenny Pennywood. The final sizes of the napkins and tea towels were decided by mapping measurements to the yard. These zero-waste scrunchies were born from the small scraps that had arisen. These small but mighty accessories allow us to close the loop on our intention of eco-conscious production and to be mindful of the world we live in and the impacts we have upon it. Behind the Scenes
Pennywood Patterns
Jenny Pennywood patterns are rooted in Jen Garrido’s fine art practice, shaped by years of exploring and working with color, rhythm, and form. These are not digital-first designs, each one begins by hand as a painting or drawing in the studio. The artwork is then translated into repeatable forms that become the visual foundation for textiles, accessories, and patterned basics. Every pattern is uniquely playful and down to co-mingle.
Jen Garrido
Meet the Maker
Jenny Pennywood is the alter ego of fine artist Jen Garrido, a painter and designer based in San Francisco. What began as a creative sidestep has grown into a bold, pattern-forward world of textiles, accessories, and artwork.

PATTERN DESIGN
Drape
Like Fold, this pattern emerged from a drawing inspired by Matisse. I love his interpretive style of fabric and folds.

Everyday, not throwaway
Our philosophy is fewer, longer lasting, timeless, and quality things, which is exactly what we make.
Color: More is merrier
Colorways and patterns are meant to mix and mingle in a way that compliments without clashing

SIGNATURE TEXTILES + FABRICS
Woven from natural fibers, our textiles are made to last and like vintage denim, they just get better with age.

HAND-PAINTED PATTERN DESIGN
Each pattern is hand-drawn or painted by Jen Garrido in the studio and printed on natural, thoughtfully sourced textiles.
These are an adorable addition to any outfit.
I bought one of these at Fleetwood in SF and then had to get more here! Friends comment on them. They are as fun to wear on the wrist as in your hair.
