Silk Gauze Bandana

Celeste in Faded Black & Natural

$64.00
DESCRIPTION

The Jenny Pennywood Silk Gauze Bandana is made from lightweight, breathable 100% Silk Noil Gauze in a variety of signature patterns and rich over-dyed colors. Handcrafted in small batches with sustainable practices, each bandana has subtle variations in texture and shade that make it truly one of a kind. Flare for more than just the neck, wear it as a headband, neck scarf, a stylish accent to your bag, or to add a pop of color anywhere else you find the opportunity.

ABOUT
  • 100% Silk Noil Gauze, lightweight and breathable
  • Measures approximately 21" x 19"
  • Keeping your hair off your face on a warm day, doing the heavy lifting on those 2 books you just had to have at the beach, and everything you can imagine in between
  • Please Note: At Jenny Pennywood, we love and lean into the imperfect nature of all things, and in this case, our scarves have an ever-so-slightly rectangular shape.
PROCESS

Every Jenny Pennywood textile is screen printed with water-based inks and sewn locally in California. We use a small-batch over-dyeing process, where each finished piece is dyed after it's sewn, giving it our signature “born vintage” feel. This results in a soft, lived-in vibe from day one, with subtle variations in color and size that make each item uniquely its own.

CARE

Hand wash in cold water & hang dry.

Behind the Scenes

Pennywood Patterns

Jenny Pennywood patterns are rooted in Jen Garrido’s fine art practice, shaped by years of exploring and working with color, rhythm, and form. These are not digital-first designs, each one begins by hand as a painting or drawing in the studio. The artwork is then translated into repeatable forms that become the visual foundation for textiles, accessories, and patterned basics. Every pattern is uniquely playful and down to co-mingle.

Jen Garrido

Meet the Maker

Jenny Pennywood is the alter ego of fine artist Jen Garrido, a painter and designer based in San Francisco. What began as a creative sidestep has grown into a bold, pattern-forward world of textiles, accessories, and artwork.

PATTERN DESIGN

Celeste

My version of polkadots. Sunshiny, but soft.

Everyday, not throwaway

Our philosophy is fewer, longer lasting, timeless, and quality things, which is exactly what we make.

Color: More is merrier

Colorways and patterns are meant to mix and mingle in a way that compliments without clashing

SIGNATURE TEXTILES + FABRICS

Woven from natural fibers, our textiles are made to last and like vintage denim, they just get better with age.

HAND-PAINTED PATTERN DESIGN

Each pattern is hand-drawn or painted by Jen Garrido in the studio and printed on natural, thoughtfully sourced textiles.

Jenny Pennywood bandanas are 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They are the perfect size, great colors, easy to care for and terrific designs. I’ve bought several online and at my local Misha & Puff store!

Third JPW Purchase!

I own a handful of items from Jenny Pennywood and I love each of them. I splurged over the holiday for a jacket and sweatshirt (and socks!) and just purchased a little bandana that I love. Such wonderful craftsmanship and quality and fun prints to boot.

Perfect!

It is just the right size for around my neck. It's chilly now, so the silk keeps my neck warm. It's a nice mellow orange w blue undertones. Love the vintage look to the dye.
